Whether it’s deeply personal or community-wide, we believe in the power of the Arts to inspire, communicate, enlighten and heal. Since 1999, the Beaverton Arts Foundation has partnered with numerous artists, educators, program directors and others to provide access and opportunity, improve lives and enrich the human experience across the entire Beaverton community.

That’s nearly two decades of fundraising activities, grant writing and grant making, hosting a wide variety of events and awarding scholarships to young artists.

Helping Artists Flourish

The Foundation has awarded nearly 100 scholarships averaging $1,000 to local high school and college students. The investment in these aspiring artists help them realize their dreams, become successful and contribute to the community, while our grants provide much-needed funds to help nonprofit arts programs prosper.

One of our scholarship recipients, Eloise Kim, earned the scholarship while attending Valley Catholic High School.

Today, she’s a 25-year-old concert pianist performing solo recitals and chamber music concerts extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada. She has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Graduate Arts Award, is a passionate teacher and active outreach musician, and is currently pursuing her doctor of music arts degree at the USC Thornton School of Music.

Building Community

The Beaverton Arts Foundation sponsors and partners with other organizations to host events that inspire people from all walks of life to engage in and support the arts.

Since its inception in 2010, the annual Mayor’s Ball has raised more than $800,000 for the arts and culture in our community. Contact us to learn more about this and other upcoming events.

Making a Home for Local Arts

As part of a public-private partnership, we’re fully committed to raising a full one-third of the funds budgeted for the Beaverton Center for the Arts.

This state-of-the-art performance venue will dramatically raise the profile of arts and culture in our community. Learn more here.
